Summary of Duties:
Responsible for all operational aspects of The Thermal Club as well as customer engagements across the country. Report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. Manage compliance with The Thermal Club's rules and regulations, construction and facility maintenance to ensure timely completion of projects and ensure the property remains well-kept, including the finance and accounting to maintain the financial accuracy of the operation and the marketing team to help plan and professionalize events. Lead the coordination of indiGO sponsored events and visits to the track, directing dealership General Managers to create unique customer experiences that draw customers to The Thermal Club, create and manage a well-organized schedule of events that optimizes use of the property and indiGO's memberships, create and execute regularly scheduled customer experiences outside of the Thermal Club to engage indiGO's customers across the country. Additionally, the Director of Events and Hospitality must possess a strong understanding of defensive driving techniques and performance driving principles to ensure guest safety and enhance the overall driving experience. This knowledge allows the director to oversee and guide driving activities, provide guests with safe yet thrilling track experiences, and support instructors in refining participants' skills. A firm grasp of vehicle dynamics, braking techniques, and cornering strategies is essential to maintain high safety standards while delivering an engaging and educational event atmosphere. This role also requires strong hospitality and operational expertise, including the ability to deliver presentations about the facility. Host large-scale events and dinners for over 50 guests and ensure seamless event execution. Maintain a pristine facility, overseeing vehicle upkeep, and ensuring all services are properly prepared and ready to go. Act as The Thermal Club’s point of contact for indiGO's management team.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma in Hospitality, a related field, or a foreign equivalent plus 7 years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or any brand management related job titles.
Applicants must possess 7 years of experience in the following: (1) Vehicle control & car handling; (2) Cornering and braking techniques; (3) vehicle suspension & aerodynamics; (4) overtaking techniques; (5) Defensive driving; (6) mechanical understanding including checking tire pressure/tires/ overall safety inspection on cars to be driven on a track; and (7) working in hospitality and operations, including facility maintenance and events hosting. 20% domestic travel required for business meetings to plan and coordinate indiGO sponsored events. Travel between indiGO’s Thermal Club in Thermal, CA and indiGO’s Rancho Mirage, CA Office in Riverside County CA.
