What we are looking for:

indiGO Auto Group is seeking a full-time Director of Financial Reporting & Analysis to join our growing team. This role is responsible for leading the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting across the organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role ensures compliance with internal policies, external reporting standards (GAAP), and lender/partner requirements. The Director will also play a key role in enhancing financial transparency, reporting consistency, and internal controls across all dealerships and corporate entities. The Director is a key strategic and analytical leadership role within our growing automotive retail group. This individual will lead the FP&A function, providing financial insights, scenario modeling, and actionable recommendations to support decision-making across the enterprise. The Director will oversee forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and performance measurement, while supporting the company's continued growth and profitability objectives. Here is what an ordinary day of work may look like:

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for internal stakeholders, lenders, and partners.
  • Ensure financial reports are in compliance with GAAP and align with industry standards and internal policies.
  • Consolidate dealership-level financials into accurate and timely enterprise-level reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial covenants, lender agreements, and manufacturer/OEM reporting requirements.
  • Establish, document, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Lead internal and external audit processes, coordinating with third-party auditors and internal departments.
  • Provide guidance on complex accounting issues such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, goodwill, and business combinations.
  • Stay current on emerging GAAP developments and assess their impact on company reporting and policies.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, long-term financial planning, and quarterly reforecasting cycles across all dealerships and corporate functions.
  • Partner with executive leadership to translate strategic objectives into financial targets and performance metrics.
  • Analyze dealership and consolidated financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting to monitor business performance, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Build dynamic financial models to evaluate scenarios
  • Partner with the accounting, IT, and dealership teams to improve reporting systems and standardize chart of accounts and reporting formats across locations.
  • Leverage dealership management systems (DMS) and business intelligence tools to streamline data collection and reporting.
  • Enhance the FP&A function through automation, system integration (e.g., DMS, BI tools), and process optimization.
  • Drive best-in-class financial planning practices in a fast-paced, dealership-focused environment.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the Executive Team, Regional Directors, and department heads, helping them manage performance and meet financial goals.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, and HR teams to ensure data integrity and alignment across functions.
  • Lead and mentor a team of corporate and dealership accounting professionals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the finance and accounting functions.

The opportunity is for you if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
  • Prior experience in auditing preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in related role.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial principles.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in documentation, proofreading, and deadline management.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A high level of professionalism and a consistently polished demeanor.
